What you will do
- Find businesses that could use what we build: websites, online stores, apps, design and digital marketing.
- Reach out by email, phone, LinkedIn or in person, and have the first conversation.
- Understand what the business needs and pass a clear, qualified lead to our team.
- Join proposal calls with our founder and see how a project is scoped and priced.
- Keep a simple tracker of who you contacted and where each lead stands.
- Spend Saturdays in our New Delhi office, working with the team in person.
What we look for
- Comfort talking to people you have not met, on calls and in messages.
- Curiosity about how businesses work and what slows them down.
- Clear spoken and written English.
- Honesty with clients: you only promise what we actually do.
What you get
- A commission on every project you bring in, paid when the client pays, with no limit on how many projects you can bring.
- A stipend of Rs 2,000 a month. Nobody hands you a list of leads: you find them, and you earn on them.
- Feedback from our founder at least once a week, on your actual leads and calls.
- Real sales experience with a working product and engineering studio.
- A certificate of completion at the end of the internship.
- A letter of recommendation if you complete the internship and your work is good.
Good to have
- A network among business owners, startups or shop owners
- Any sales, events or college fest sponsorship experience
- A LinkedIn profile you use
How we work
Clear scope, visible progress.
Written scope first
Every piece of work starts with a short written scope: what ships and when.
Weekly demos
We show progress on a live link every week, to each other and to clients.
A direct line
You talk to clients and to our founder directly. There is no account layer in between.
Remote and written
We work remotely and write things down: decisions, handovers and runbooks. Expect a few hours a week of overlap with India time (UTC+5:30) for demos and reviews.
How to apply
Email [email protected] with “Business Development Intern” in the subject line, and send:
- Your pitch (required): one real business near you that is losing customers because of how it shows up online, and how you would pitch it to them in 3 lines. Put the business name in the subject: "BD Intern: [business name]".
- If your pitch turns into a real project with us, you earn the commission on it, even if you never join.
- Your CV, if you have one (optional).
- Any time you sold, pitched or convinced someone, and what happened.
- Whether you can reach our New Delhi office on Saturdays.
- Your time zone, how many hours a week you can give, and when you could start.
What happens next
- We read and reply. We read every application and reply to each one, including when the answer is no.
- A conversation. If there is a fit, a call of about 30 minutes about work you have done.
- A clear answer. We decide and tell you either way. We never charge applicants anything.
